Reading Fast Company’s recent article on AI adoption and user confidence brought several thoughts to mind.
People often fear what they don’t understand. When something feels unfamiliar or complex, the instinct is to pull back. That fear becomes even more personal when learning new skills…Can I learn this? Am I enough?
In organizations where vulnerability is seen as a weakness, that fear becomes entrenched. People stay silent, stick to what they know, and avoid taking risks. But in a world evolving with AI, we can’t afford to let fear slow us down.
This is where change management plays a critical role.
Our work is not just about training on new tools. It’s about helping people believe they can change. We create space for learning, confidence-building, and support. Because real transformation starts from within. When people feel empowered, the entire organization moves forward.
The article also calls out something we’ve all seen: traditional training methods aren’t cutting it. Death by PowerPoint doesn’t spark curiosity. AI adoption needs to be experiential: hands-on, interactive, and engaging.
AI has no value without people. And people need to see how AI connects to their real work before they’ll trust it.
That’s why I believe the future of AI enablement should feel like onboarding a teammate. Not a download of facts, but an invitation to collaborate.
As we look ahead, we should be asking:
- How will we design AI onboarding experiences that feel human-centered?
- How do we create safe, engaging spaces for people to learn and grow alongside AI?
We’re not just introducing new technology. We’re shaping a new way of working together.
